The Teenage Engineering Desk: 5 Objects That Make a Room Look Like a Studio
There's a category of object that exists slightly outside the reason you'd buy it. A field recorder for someone who doesn't record. A handheld that plays cartridges you already own. The function is real, but the reason people buy them is that somebody made a decision most companies would have argued out of the room.
Teenage Engineering built a whole company on that idea, and a few others are working the same seam. These five sit on a desk and change what the desk means.

The OP–XY is a 64-step sequencer, synth and sampler milled from a slab of aluminium. It's comfortably the most expensive thing we stock and the one I'd defend hardest: nothing else looks or feels remotely like it.
